This filing system includes six main subject categories, further broken into subcategories and topics. Everything is color-coded and presented alphabetically.
Family: Basics, Care Providers, Education, Employment, Military
Finances: Bank Accounts, Credit, Income Taxes, Investments, Investments, Loans/Mortgages, Payments to Others, Retirement, Trust Interests
Health: Health Care, Health Insurance, Medical Directives, Medical Records, Prescriptions
Home: Home, Insurance, Maintenance, Property Taxes, Utilities
Possessions: Digital Assets, Electronics, Furnishings/Valuables, Storage/Safekeeping, Vehicles/Equipment
Wills/Estate: Last Wishes, Power of Attorney, Trusts, Will/Living Trust
The included Go-To Handbook includes checklists for each category that detail the documents and information you will want to include in your Go-To-Files. As you add documents, the checklists help you keep track of your progress. When you have finished, they become your index.
The Go-To Handbook also includes Good-To-Know resource information for each category, as well as guidance on how long to keep records and information on passwords and online security.
The Go-To Files use the same organizational structure as the Go-To Guide and can stand alone or be used in conjunction with the Go-To Guide.
